Just in time for Mardi Gras this year, Renaissance Publishing, LLC, launched its new portal site www.MyNewOrleans.com and became the newest member of the Godengo network. The new site is home to seven publications, including its newest yet-to-hit-the-stands Gulf Coast Wine + Dine, as well as its established publications New Orleans Magazine, St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans Bride, Louisiana Life, OnStage and New Orleans Homes & Lifestyles.
In addition to the seven magazines, the site features six blogs, including their editor's political commentary on life in New Orleans, a countdown to the wedding date blog, a shopping blog, two dining blogs and, not surprisingly in this city, a blog on where to go out.
Web Content Editor Nicole Wroten was excited about the move to Rivista and the look of the new site. "Godengo has honestly made our staff's dream of a brand new site a reality," says Wroten. "From the day I started at New Orleans Magazine, I knew our site could be so much more. But what Godengo gave us, I could have never imagined. It is so much more versatile, organized and sleek than I ever thought it could be. I was also incredibly thrilled with how easy Rivista was to use and navigate. I am not an easy learner, so the staff's patience with me was definitely a plus as well. I look forward to where Godengo can take us in the future and I feel like New Orleans finally has a Web site they can call home."
Among the wishes of the MyNewOrleans.com team are that traffic will increase and thereby drive revenue through ad sales, directory sales and other means of monetizing the site.
